I'm all for helping out a newb who was led a stray, BUT this is blatant self-linking first post and I consider it *ban worthy
Once we start down the road of giving breaks on these types of post, I think we are going to open a flood gate of "OH, I didn't see the HUGE RED PRINT telling me not to self-link NO MATTER WHAT"
gregs7726 has been nominated for banination by youdiejoe. This may be due to abuse or violations of the posting guidelines. If this nomination is seconded, the account will be permanently disabled.
I didnt realize that is how this site works. I posted because I thought some people would like to see another version of the X-Wing launch video, a bit clearer video, since there was another on this site. My mistake. No worries, I will take down the submit (if I can figure that out). Greg
Hmmmmm.... I may been a little harsh, as I just checked the submit page and I don't see the BOLD RED PRINT anymore. Is this something that gets dropped after a particular star level is reached?
greg - welcome to the sift. don't ever do that again, unless of course you are offering up a vid that the original linker might replace theirs with.
Seriously - this is becoming a repeat question, and I think the ban system works very well. Those who are temporarily blindsided by it but still have an interest in participating come back again and again. Kudos to greg and the hammer.
at the risk of bloating the invocations list, anyone up for *warn ? it could send the vid to sifttalk to await a second *warn or 2 *bans. if it gets 2 *warns, delete the offending vid and give the guy another chance.
in the case of dirty spammers it's normally obvious that you should ban instead of warn. this isn't the first time this has come up...
gregs7726 has been seconded for banination by MINK. This account will now be disabled. If you would like to appeal this banination, gregs7726, you may contact the administrators. Discarding this video.

I don't think a ban is in order. Folks?

sorry guys.

My mistake. No worries, I will take down the submit (if I can figure that out).

Thanks,
